Error message when you sign in to play an online game of Age of Empires III: "Account login failed: [102] Invalid username or password"

SYMPTOMS

When you sign in to your Ensemble Studios Online account to play an online game of Microsoft Age of Empires III, you receive the following error message:
Account login failed: [102] Invalid username or password.

CAUSE

This behavior occurs if an incorrect account name or password is used.

RESOLUTION

To resolve this behavior, use the correct account name or password. Delete the text that you typed for the account name and password. Then, reenter the account name and password. Be aware that the password is case sensitive. If the CAPS LOCK key was pressed, you may type an incorrect password.
