Event ID: 2 may be logged when you try to synchronize the Enterprise pool with Active Directory in Project Professional 2003 or in Project Server 2003
When you try to synchronize the Enterprise pool with
Active Directory, the following event may be logged in Microsoft Office Project Professional 2003 or in Microsoft Office Project Server 2003:

Description: <Description><![CDATA[AD Res Pool Sync - failed to
issue the PDS Resource Deactivate request]]></Description>
This issue may occur if the following conditions are true:
- The synchronization process did not update the AD_GUID
value for the resource.
- You
tried to deactivate a user in
Project Web Access.
To work around this issue, follow these steps:
- Log on to
Project Web Access as an administrator.
- Click Admin, and then click Manage
users and groups.
- Click the resource, click Modify User, and
then click the Windows Authentication, using the Windows User
Account option.
- Verify that the Clear User AD_GUID
option is not selected.
- In the Actions list, click Server
configuration.
- In the Active Directory Group to
Synchronize box, enter the Active
Directory
group.
- Click Update Now. Refresh the page to
verify that the synchronization
process has been
completed. You may have to synchronize the
group two times.
- In the Actions list, click Manage
users and groups.
- Verify that the AD_GUID value
for the resources is enabled.
Then, verify that the user is deactivated.
