SYMPTOMS

When you integrate data between Microsoft Dynamics CRM and Microsoft Dynamics GP by using the Microsoft Dynamics CRM Connector for Microsoft Dynamics GP, some data is missing.

Symptom 1

Consider the following scenario:
  • You integrate the Microsoft Dynamics GP customer data and the Microsoft Dynamics CRM account data or contact data.
  • You populate some fields on the Microsoft Dynamics GP customer record.
  • These fields are not mapped to the corresponding fields in the Microsoft Dynamics CRM account or contact.
  • You update an integrated account or an integrated contact in Microsoft Dynamics CRM.
In this scenario, the fields that are related to the unmapped Microsoft Dynamics GP address field are empty. Therefore, some data is missing.

Symptom 2

Consider the following scenario:
  • You define a default customer class by using the Settings and Administration Tool. Or, you map the Microsoft Dynamics CRM account category code attribute to the Microsoft Dynamics GP customer class attribute.
  • You set a value that differs from the default customer class value for the following Microsoft Dynamics GP fields:
    • Payment Terms
This field is in the Address record, the Sales Order record, and the Sales Order Detail record.
    • Shipping Method
This field is in the Address record, the Sales Order record, and the Sales Order Detail record.
    • Customer Address
This field is in the Customer records.
  • You update an integrated account or an integrated contact in Microsoft Dynamics CRM.
In this scenario, Microsoft Dynamics CRM applies the default customer class value instead of applying the value that you set for the Payment Terms field, the Shipping Method field, and the Customer Address field.

Symptom 3

Consider the following scenario:
  • You apply one or more of the following fields in Microsoft Dynamics GP:
    • Payment Terms
    • Shipping Method
    • Customer Address
  • You do not use the Settings and Administration Tool to create one-to-one mappings between these Microsoft Dynamics GP fields and the corresponding Microsoft Dynamics CRM fields. Therefore, in Microsoft Dynamics CRM or in Microsoft Dynamics GP, the fields that are related to these Microsoft Dynamics GP fields are not used.
  • In Microsoft Dynamics CRM, you update an integrated record that contains these Microsoft Dynamics GP fields.
In this scenario, the fields that are related to the unmapped Microsoft Dynamics GP fields are empty. Therefore, some data is missing.
