Error message when you use SharePoint Central Administration to run a content deployment job in SharePoint Server 2007: "Microsoft.SharePoint.SPException': 'A folder with the name _catalogs/masterpage/Forms/Page Layout already exists"
Consider the following scenario. In Microsoft Office SharePoint Server 2007, you try to migrate content from one site collection to another site collection. To do this, you use SharePoint Central Administration to create a content deployment path and a content deployment job. When you run the content deployment job to deploy the content from the source site collection to the destination site collection, the status of the operation appears as
Failed. You receive the following error message:
Content deployment job 'Remote import job for job with sourceID = ID' failed. The
exception thrown was 'Microsoft.SharePoint.SPException' : 'A folder with the name _catalogs/masterpage/Forms/Page Layout already exists.'"
This behavior occurs if the destination site collection does not use the Blank Site template. For example, this behavior occurs if the destination site collection uses the Team Site template.
When you migrate content from one site collection to another site collection, make sure that the destination site collection uses the Blank Site template.
For more information about how to manage content deployment paths, jobs, and settings, see SharePoint Central Administration Help.

Community Feedback System
Very often, it takes hours to solve a problem. Very often, you've looked high
and low, and have tried a lot of solutions. When you finally found it, chances
are, it was because someone else helped you. Here's your chance to give back.
Use our community feedback tool to let others know what worked for you and what
didn't.
Please also understand that the community feedback system is not warranted to be
correct, it's simply a system that we've built to let people try and help each
other. If something in a feedback response doesn't make sense to you, or you're
not comfortable making changes that the feedback talks about (like registry
edits), please consult a professional.
Thank you for using kbAlertz.com Feedback System.
