When you try to debug the dump files for Microsoft Windows SharePoint Services, you may receive an "InvalidCastException" error message. Additionally, you may experience an incomplete disposal or bad disposal behavior.
This problem occurs when Windows SharePoint Services is running together with Microsoft ASP.NET 2.0.
This problem occurs because of a bug in the
Dispose method of the
SqlSessionState.PartitionManager class.
A supported hotfix is now available from Microsoft. However, it is intended to correct only the problem that this article describes. Apply it only to systems that are experiencing this specific problem.
