Consider the following scenario. In Microsoft BizTalk Server 2004, you use an HTTP request-response adapter to receive messages. The HTTP adapter sends the messages to a BizTalk orchestration. The BizTalk orchestration sends a response message to the client. An exception error occurs in the BizTalk orchestration. In this scenario, incoming messages and response messages may be suspended when BizTalk Server is running under heavy load conditions. Additionally, you may receive an error message that resembles the following:
Activation message was suspended because the corresponding service class (orchestration, sendport, ...) was in the stopped state. Starting the service class will cause this service instance to automatically be resumed
You experience this problem after you apply the hotfix that is described in Microsoft Knowledge Base article 912504.
There are two versions of this hotfix:
- A Post-BizTalk Server 2004 Service Pack 1 (SP1) hotfix
- A Post-BizTalk Server 2004 Service Pack 2 (SP2) hotfix

Warning You cannot roll back this hotfix from the BizTalk Server environment. Therefore, make sure that you fully test this hotfix in a test environment before you apply this hotfix to a production environment. Do not try to use
