Another button on the Ribbon may become active when you use a keyboard shortcut that uses the ALT key in 2007 Office programs
In one of the 2007 Microsoft Office programs that are listed in the "Applies to" section, you use the keyboard to move through the Ribbon. When you use a keyboard shortcut that uses the ALT key, such as ALT+DOWN ARROW, to open a submenu for a button, the menu of the Microsoft Office Button may open. Or, another button on the Ribbon may become active.
This issue may occur if the computer is running a program that intercepts keystrokes and assigns new functionality to the ALT keys. For example, this issue may occur if the computer is running a screen reader. This program may be incompatible with the 2007 Office programs.
To resolve this issue, contact the vendor of the program. For information about your hardware manufacturer, visit the following Web site:
APPLIES TO

Community Feedback System
Very often, it takes hours to solve a problem. Very often, you've looked high
and low, and have tried a lot of solutions. When you finally found it, chances
are, it was because someone else helped you. Here's your chance to give back.
Use our community feedback tool to let others know what worked for you and what
didn't.
Please also understand that the community feedback system is not warranted to be
correct, it's simply a system that we've built to let people try and help each
other. If something in a feedback response doesn't make sense to you, or you're
not comfortable making changes that the feedback talks about (like registry
edits), please consult a professional.
Thank you for using kbAlertz.com Feedback System.
