Error message after you install Antigen 9.0 on every node of an Exchange cluster: "An error occurred attempting to read properties for the AntigenIMC <EVS name> Resource. The object already exists."
When a Microsoft Exchange cluster has two or more Exchange virtual
servers, the second Exchange virtual server cannot fail over successfully. This
occurs after you install Microsoft Antigen 9.0 for Exchange on every
node of the cluster. Additionally, you receive
the following error message:
An error occurred attempting
to read properties for the AntigenIMC (EVS name)
Resource. The object already exists.
When you install Antigen on every node of an Exchange
cluster, the installation program creates an AntigenIMC resource. When a node
fails over, that resource does not start. Then,
you
receive
the error message that is mentioned in the "Symptoms" section.
To resolve this problem, a new installation build has been
created specifically for Exchange cluster environments. The new build number is
9.00.1055.64. To obtain this installation build, contact Microsoft Customer Support
Services.
Microsoft
has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed
in the "Applies to" section.
