The Document ID log report view may stop responding when you view a Document ID log report that contains lots of groups in SharePoint Server 2007

SYMPTOMS

In Microsoft Office SharePoint Server 2007, when you view a Document ID log report that contains lots of groups, the Document ID log report view may stop responding.

CAUSE

This behavior occurs if an international language pack, such as the East Asian language pack, is installed on the SharePoint Server 2007 server. In this case, you may experience a delay before the Document ID log report view is displayed. This occurs if the Document ID log report contains more than 4000 groups.

WORKAROUND

To work around this issue, create a new view. To do this, follow these steps:
  1. On the SharePoint Server 2007 home page, click Lists.
  2. On the All Site Content page, click Document ID Log Report.
  3. On the Document ID Log Report page, click the list next to View, and then click Create View.
  4. On the Create View: Document ID Log Report page, click Standard View.
  5. Type a name for the new view, select the options that you want, and then click OK.
