An incorrect cost value is displayed for cost resources when you enter a timephased cost in Project 2007
Consider the following scenario in Microsoft Office Project 2007:
- You change the Work is entered in setting on the Schedule tab under Options.
- You assign a cost resource to the new task.
- You add a cost to the cost resource in the Task Usage view.
In this scenario, an incorrect cost value is displayed for cost resources when you enter a timephased cost for a day.
This problem may also occur when the
Work is entered in option is set correctly. For example, this problem may occur if you enter a timephased cost that occurs on a specific level, such as
Weeks or
Months.
This problem occurs when the
Work is entered in setting is not set to
Hours.
In this case, the cost value that is entered is divided by the "hours-per-day" setting. This problem also occurs when you change the
Work is entered in setting to
Weeks or to
Months.
To work around this problem, change the
Work is entered in setting to
Hours.
Note To locate this setting, click
Options on the
Tools menu, and then click the
Schedule tab.
Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed in the "Applies to" section.

correct, it's simply a system that we've built to let people try and help each
other. If something in a feedback response doesn't make sense to you, or you're
not comfortable making changes that the feedback talks about (like registry
edits), please consult a professional.
