The user interface items are not in the correct language when you open the "Speech Recognition Options" Control Panel item in some versions of Windows Vista
In some versions of Windows Vista, when you open the Speech Recognition Options item in Control Panel, the user interface items are not in the correct language. Additionally, no configuration features are available under Configure your Speech Recognition experience. Therefore, you cannot configure the Speech Recognition feature.
This issue occurs if the version of Windows Vista is not one of the following:
- The U.S. English version
- The United Kingdom English version
- The French version
- The German version
- The Spanish version
- The Japanese version
- The Chinese Traditional version
- The Chinese Simplified version
Speech Recognition is available only in these versions of Windows Vista. However, because of the way in which the Speech Recognition feature is built into Windows Vista, this feature cannot be removed from versions of Windows Vista for which Speech Recognition is unavailable.

Community Feedback System
Very often, it takes hours to solve a problem. Very often, you've looked high
and low, and have tried a lot of solutions. When you finally found it, chances
are, it was because someone else helped you. Here's your chance to give back.
Use our community feedback tool to let others know what worked for you and what
didn't.
Please also understand that the community feedback system is not warranted to be
correct, it's simply a system that we've built to let people try and help each
other. If something in a feedback response doesn't make sense to you, or you're
not comfortable making changes that the feedback talks about (like registry
edits), please consult a professional.
Thank you for using kbAlertz.com Feedback System.
