Error message when you try to import data from Quickbooks into Office Accounting Express: "Migration library failed to perform migration"

SYMPTOMS

When you try to import data from Intuit Quickbooks into Microsoft Office Accounting Express, you may receive the following error message:
Migration library failed to perform migration

CAUSE

This problem may occur if the data that you try to import contains an account that is named "Other Income."

RESOLUTION

To resolve this problem, follow these steps:
  1. Start Quickbooks.
  2. On the Company menu, click Chart of Accounts.
  3. Right-click Other Income, and then click Edit Account.
  4. Change the name of the account, and then click OK.
  5. On the File menu, click Close.
  6. Import the data from Quickbooks into Office Accounting Express.
