How to install SQL Server 2000 Reporting Services on the default named instance of SQL Server 2000 before you install Microsoft Dynamics CRM 3.0
Microsoft SQL Server 2000 Reporting Services (SSRS) is supported only on the default named instance of SQL Server 2000. Therefore, you have to install SQL Server 2000 Reporting Services before you install Microsoft Dynamics CRM 3.0 on the default named instance of SQL Server 2000.
This article describes how to install SQL Server 2000 Reporting Services on the default named instance of SQL Server 2000 before you install Microsoft Dynamics CRM 3.0.
To install SQL Server 2000 Reporting Services on the default named instance of SQL Server 2000, use the Microsoft Dynamics CRM 3.0 server CD-ROM, and follow these steps:
- On the Microsoft Dynamics CRM 3.0 server CD-ROM, locate the SRS
folder.
- Double-click the Setup.exe file to install SQL Server 2000 Reporting Services.
- After you successfully install SQL Server 2000 Reporting Services, install SQL Server 2000 Reporting Services Service Pack 2.
To do this, locate the SRS\sp2setup_1033 folder, and then double-click SP2Setup.exe. - Install Microsoft Dynamics CRM 3.0 on a computer that is running a named instance of SQL Server 2000.
Note When you run the Setup program for Microsoft Dynamics CRM 3.0, point the Setup program to an existing reporting server that is running the default instance of SQL Server 2000.
