  • This release is compatible with Windows Vista.

Note This release is still compatible with Microsoft Windows XP.
  • This release uses Microsoft SQL Server 2005 Express Edition instead of Microsoft SQL Server 2000 Desktop Engine (also known as MSDE).

Note After Microsoft SQL Server 2005 Express Edition is installed, you can store 4 gigabytes (GB) of data for offline use.
  • This release includes hotfixes for the Microsoft Dynamics CRM client for Outlook.

Note The hotfixes for the Microsoft Dynamics CRM client for Outlook that are included in Update Rollup 1 for Microsoft Dynamics CRM 3.0 are already included in this release.
  • This release installs the Microsoft .NET Framework 2.0 and the Microsoft .NET Framework 1.1.

Note Microsoft SQL Server 2005 Express Edition uses the .NET Framework 2.0. Microsoft Dynamics CRM still uses the .NET Framework 1.1.
  • This release uses a custom Microsoft Outlook mailbox store to display the Microsoft CRM folder structure in Outlook instead of the Outlook .pst file. The message store object is a MAPI object that provides a view of a Microsoft Exchange store.
  • This release contains configurable settings that determine how frequently the Microsoft Dynamics CRM client for Outlook searches the Microsoft Outlook inbox for Microsoft Dynamics CRM e-mail messages. This search is called auto-tagging. This change improves the performance of the Microsoft Dynamics CRM client for Outlook.
