You cannot use the Manual Payroll feature after you upgrade Small Business Accounting 2006 to Accounting Express
After you upgrade Microsoft Office Small Business Accounting 2006 to Microsoft Office Accounting Express, you cannot use the Manual Payroll feature.
This problem occurs because the Manual Payroll feature is not included in Accounting Express.
To resolve this problem, you must upgrade to Microsoft Office Accounting Professional. To do this, follow these steps:
- Open the company in Accounting Express.
- Click Upgrade Today, and then click Purchase Key Online.
- Type the required information, click Continue, and then close the window.
- On the Help menu, click Upgrade to Professional.
- Enter the product key that was purchased in steps 2 and 3, and then click OK to close Accounting Express.
- Click Start, point to All Programs, point to Microsoft Office, and then click Microsoft Office Accounting.
- Click Open an existing company, select the company, and then click Open.
The Manual Payroll feature is now available on the Employees menu.
