Error message when you try to use Project Web Access 2003 to access Documents pages, Issues pages, or Risk pages: "The list cannot be displayed in Datasheet view"
When you try to use Microsoft Office Project Web Access 2003
to access Documents
pages, Issues
pages, or the Risk pages,
you receive the following error message:
The list
cannot be displayed in Datasheet view for one or more of the following reasons:
- A datasheet component compatible with Windows SharePoint Services is not
installed.
- Your Web browser does not support ActiveX controls.

Support for ActiveX controls is disabled.
This issue occurs because the computer is running an earlier
version of Microsoft Office. Or, this issue occurs because Office is not installed.
Datasheet view is a spreadsheet that
resembles Microsoft Excel. Datasheet
view uses the Microsoft Office List Datasheet component. It requires Microsoft
Office 2003 to be installed on the computer.
To resolve this issue, install Office 2003. Or, install
Windows SharePoint Services Support.
Note Windows SharePoint Services Support includes the Microsoft Office
List Datasheet component. Windows
SharePoint Services Support is available
in Office 2003.
