You are prompted to update Windows Installer again when you install ProClarity Desktop Professional 6.3 or ProClarity Desktop Professional 6.2 after you update Windows Installer

SYMPTOMS

Consider the following scenario. When you install Microsoft ProClarity Desktop Professional 6.3 or ProClarity Desktop Profession 6.2, you are prompted to update Microsoft Windows Installer to version 3.1 v2. You update Windows Installer and then restart the computer. In this scenario, you are prompted to update Windows Installer again when you try to install ProClarity Desktop Professional. This behavior repeats infinitely.

CAUSE

This issue occurs because ProClarity Desktop Professional does not correctly synchronize the status of Windows Installer with the operating system.

WORKAROUND

To work around this issue, run the Setup.exe file in the following folder:
InstallationPackLocation\Desktop Install\Install
Note InstallationPackLocation represents the location of the installation source files.

STATUS

This issue is being investigated.

The answer above works but not if you are using daemon tools hooking to the iso it asks for disk 1 over and over again... copy the contents of the is image to disk and run the setup and it will work. I need to do this to get my excel addins to install.
