SYMPTOMS

When you try to build an Online Analytical Processing (OLAP) cube on the Microsoft Office Project Server 2003 server that is running Microsoft SQL Server 2005 Analysis Services, you receive the following error message:

CAUSE

This problem may occur on some databases when the OLE DB provider publishes orphan records. The orphan records appear in the MSP_VIEW_RES_TP_BY_DAY table and in the MSP_Cube table.

Also, delete all the data that is in the MSP_VIEW_RES_TP_BY_DAY table and then update the resource availability tables by using the "Update resource tables and OLAP cube" page in Microsoft Office Project Web Access.
