SYMPTOMS

When you use a two-way receive port to process a Microsoft BizTalk Accelerator for HL7 1.0 message, no acknowledgement message (ACK) is sent back to the source system. This problem occurs if the following conditions are true:
  • You use BizTalk Accelerator for HL7 together with BizTalk Server 2004.
  • You have installed the hotfix that Microsoft Knowledge Base article 890348 describes.

There was a failure executing the receive pipeline: "BTAHL72XPipelines.BTAHL72XReceivePipeline" Source: "Microsoft.Solutions.BTAHL7.HL72fDasm" Receive Location: "localhost:21000" Reason: Method not found: Boolean Microsoft.Solutions.BTAHL7.Pipelines.AckConfig.get_SynchAckEnabled().

You also receive the following error message in the Health and Activity Tracking (HAT) tool:
There was a failure executing the receive pipeline: "BTAHL72XPipelines.BTAHL72XReceivePipeline" Source: "Microsoft.Solutions.BTAHL7.HL72fDasm" Receive Location: "localhost:11100" Reason: Method not found: Boolean Microsoft.Solutions.BTAHL7.Pipelines.AckConfig.get_SynchAckEnabled().

RESOLUTION

Hotfix information

A supported hotfix is available from Microsoft. However, this hotfix is intended to correct only the problem that is described in this article. Apply this hotfix only to systems that are experiencing this specific problem.

Prerequisites

You must have the following products and software updates installed to apply this hotfix:
  • Microsoft BizTalk Server 2004 Service Pack 1
  • Microsoft BizTalk Accelerator for HL7 1.0
  • The hotfix that Knowledge Base article 890348 describes

Restart requirement

You do not have to restart the computer after you apply this hotfix. You must restart the BizTalk Service BizTalk Group: BizTalkServerApplication service after you apply this hotfix.

This hotfix replaces the hotfix that Knowledge Base article 890348 describes.
