Error message when you try to enable Active Directory integration for System Center Operations Manager 2007: "The binary form of an ACE object is invalid"

SYMPTOMS

When you try to use the Momadadmin.exe tool to enable Active Directory integration for Microsoft System Center Operations Manager 2007, you receive the following error message:
MomADAdmin failed with the following exception: The binary form of an ACE object is invalid. Parameter name: binaryForm All changes made under OperationsManager node have been reverted
In this situation, the Momadadmin.exe tool may create the OperationsManager container in Active Directory Users and Computers. However, the nested container for the management group is not created as expected.

CAUSE

This issue occurs because of an issue in the .NET Framework 2.0.

RESOLUTION

To resolve this problem, install the 928569 hotfix for the .NET Framework 2.0. For more information, click the following article number to view the article in the Microsoft Knowledge Base:
