Error message when you try to start a sequenced application in the Microsoft App-V (SoftGrid) client: "Error code: xxxxxx-xxxxxx2C-800736B1"
When you try to start a sequenced application in the Microsoft App-V (SoftGrid)Â client, the application does not start. Additionally, you may receive an error message that resembles the following error message:
The SoftGrid Client could not launch application_name. This application has failed to start because the application configuration is incorrect. Reinstalling the application may fix this problem.
Error code: xxxxxx-xxxxxx2C-800736B1
You may also see the following events logged in the Event Viewer System log:

This problem occurs if the following packages are not installed locally on the App-V (SoftGrid) client:
Install the redistributable package locally on the App-V (SoftGrid) client Â
If the sequenced application requires the .NET Framework 2.0 Redistributable Package, install the .NET Framework 2.0 Redistributable Package locally on the App-V (SoftGrid) client. Additionally, if the sequenced application requires the Visual C++ Redistributable Package, install the Visual C++ Redistributable Package locally on the App-V (SoftGrid) client. Â
Note Before installing these packages, ensure that they are the correct version for the application being virtualized. The links above are for the most common versions of the packages.
