Error message the second time that you run a full content deployment job in SharePoint Server 2007: "You cannot copy, move or delete the Forms directory of a document library"
Consider the following scenario. The first time that you run a full content deployment job to deploy content from a source site to a destination site in Microsoft Office SharePoint Server 2007, the operation is successful. However, the second time that you try to run the content deployment job, you receive an error message that resembles the following:
You cannot copy, move or delete the Forms directory of a document library.
?? Microsoft.SharePoint.Library.SPRequest.MoveUrl(String bstrUrl, String bstrWebRelOldUrl, String bstrWebRelNewUrl, Int32 grf)
?? Microsoft.SharePoint.SPFolder.MoveCopyInternal(String strNewUrl, Boolean bIsCopy)
?? Microsoft.SharePoint.SPFolder.MoveTo(String strNewUrl)
?? Microsoft.SharePoint.Deployment.FolderSerializer.SetObjectData(Object obj, SerializationInfo info, StreamingContext context, ISurrogateSelector selector)
?? Microsoft.SharePoint.Deployment.XmlFormatter.ParseObject(Type objectType, Boolean isChildObject)
?? Microsoft.SharePoint.Deployment.XmlFormatter.DeserializeObject(Type objectType, Boolean isChildObject, DeploymentObject envelope)
?? Microsoft.SharePoint.Deployment.XmlFormatter.Deserialize(Stream serializationStream)
?? Microsoft.SharePoint.Deployment.ObjectSerializer.Deserialize(Stream serializationStream)
?? Microsoft.SharePoint.Deployment.ImportObjectManager.ProcessObject(XmlReader xmlReader)
?? Microsoft.SharePoint.Deployment.SPImport.DeserializeObjects()
?? Microsoft.SharePoint.Deployment.SPImport.Run()
This issue occurs if the following conditions are true:
- You connect to the source site by using Microsoft Office SharePoint Designer 2007. Then, you either delete the Images folder or rename the Images folder.
- You create a document library in the source site. Then, you name the document library Images.
Do not use Images as the name for a document library.
