Various problems may occur when you install Antigen 8.0 for IM build 1536 on a computer that is running Live Communications Server 2003
After you install Sybari Antigen 8.0 for IM build 1536 on a
computer that is running Microsoft Office Live Communications Server 2003,
Antigen does not scan instant messages. Additionally, AntigenRTCProxy is not
listed as a registered application for Live Communications Server 2003. One of
the following error messages is logged in the Antigen program log:
"ERROR:
Unable to connect to RTC Server, error is 'File or assembly name ServerAgent,
or one of its dependencies, was not found.', retrying ..."
"ERROR: Unable to connect to LCS Server, error is 'File or
assembly name ServerAgent, or one of its dependencies, was not found.',
retrying ..."
Additionally, the following event is logged in the
event log:
Source: AntigenRTCProxy
Category: None
Event ID: 0
Type: Error
Description: Unable to connect to RTC
Server, error is 'File or assembly name ServerAgent, or one of its
dependencies, was not found.', retrying ...
This problem occurs because the required ServerAgent.dll
file is missing from Antigen 8.0 build 1536.
To resolve this problem, follow these steps:
- Stop all Antigen
services.
- Copy the ServerAgent.dll file from the Live Communications
Server 2003 installation directory to the Antigen installation
directory.
- Start
the Live Communications Server service.
Microsoft
has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed
in the "Applies to" section.
This problem does not occur if one of the following
conditions is true:
- You update Antigen 8.0 for IM from build 1531 to build
1536.
- The computer is running Microsoft Office Live
Communications Server 2005.
Note If you upgrade Live Communications Server 2003 to Live
Communications Server 2005, you must remove the ServerAgent.dll file from the
Antigen directory.
