List of issues that are fixed

This hotfix fixes the following issues:

941912Â (http://kbalertz.com/Feedback.aspx?kbNumber=941912/ ) The estimated time to finish the synchronization may be as long as 48 hours when you try to synchronize a server that is running Project Server 2007 to a Windows SharePoint Services root site

This hotfix fixes the following issues that were not previously documented in a Microsoft Knowledge Base article:

In Project Web Access, you create outline codes that have several levels. After you group these codes around those levels, this hierarchy is not displayed.
You create a macro that updates or inserts multiple summary tasks. When you run the macro, Project Server 2007 may crash. In this case, it generates an error message that states that Project Server 2007 was unable to insert the tasks.
You open a project in Project 2007, and then you publish the project. You open this same project in Project Web Access, you add a new task, and then you submit it. In Project 2007, you accept the new task. You save and then close the project in Project 2007. In Project Web Access you add, submit, and approve a new task, and then you reopen the project in Project 2007. In this scenario, you may receive an error message that states that you cannot insert the same column two times. Or, the same column appears two times in the project.
You open a project or a template that you own but that was created by another user account. This user account is from the same Resource Breakdown Structure (RBS) node in Project Web Access. In Project Center, you click Edit Project Properties, and then you click the Owner box. In this case, your user account is not listed as an owner. Only the account that created the project is listed in the Owner box.
When a resource self-assigns itself to a task, and then the resource submits that task, other resources that are assigned to that task receive a warning that the task has not been submitted.
You change the Time Remaining value for a task in the Percent of Work Complete tracking mode. After you recalculate the Total Time for the task, the total time value is incorrect. The new value for Time Remaining is treated as a fixed percentage of the total time and not as a simple numeric value.
You use Team Builder to substitute resources that are assigned to a task. When you view the resource properties after you make this change, the original assignment owner still owns the resource.
You try to view all the tasks that are assigned to a single resource in Project Web Access in the Resource Center. When you try to view all the assignments, Internet Explorer stops responding, and you receive the following error message:
Internet Explorer has encountered a problem with an add-on and needs to close. The following add-on was running when this error occurred: PJGRID12.ocx.
This problem occurs when resources have a large amount of data that is assigned to them.
When you try to access a project in Project Center, you may receive the following error message:
Project Center cannot access the project(s) you are trying to view.
This error occurs when your account in Project Web Access has been assigned to the highest available code for an RBS node.
You use a macro to update custom codes in a project in the Project Server 2007 object model interface. The macro also uses the Project Server 2007 scheduling engine. When you run the macro, you receive an "Object reference not set to an instance of an object" error message. Additionally, blocking failures occur in the Project Server 2007 query queues.
As a Project Manager for a project on a server that is running Project Server 2007, you approve and publish a project. When you view the published project, Duration and Actual Work Hours have changed to incorrect values.
After you accept a task in Project Server 2007, you switch to the Applied Task Update Requests and Errors view, and you examine the task that you accepted. The start date and the finish date for the task are listed as "N/A." If you click the task to view its details, the start date and the finish date are present.
You submit a new self-assigned task in Project Server 2007, and then you add time to the same task for approval. When the Project Manager views the request, the two requests appear as a single request.
Rejected tasks are returned to the user's task sheet in Project Server 2007. These rejected tasks cannot be programmatically cleared by using the Project Server 2007 object model interface.
You use Project Web Access to create an online analytical processing (OLAP) cube that is based on an existing project. After you do this, you create a Data Analysis view, and then you use the MSP_Project_ Timesheet cube template to create a pivot table chart. However, after you add different resources to the MSP_Project_ Timesheet cube, no resources are visible in the new cube.
The UpdateUserSyncSetting tool no longer updates user synchronization settings on the server.

A supported hotfix is now available from Microsoft. However, it is intended to correct only the problem that is described in this article. Project Server 2007, 32-bit version

The global version of this hotfix uses a Microsoft Windows Installer package to install the hotfix. The dates and the times for these files are listed in Coordinated Universal Time (UTC) in the following table. When you view the file information, the date is converted to local time. To find the difference between UTC and local time, use the Time Zone tab in the Date and Time item in Control Panel.
