This article describes the Microsoft Office SharePoint Portal Server 2003 issues that are fixed in the SharePoint Portal Server 2003 post-Service Pack 3 hotfix package that is dated February 26, 2008.

INTRODUCTION

List of issues that are fixed

This hotfix fixes the following issue:
  • 940459  (http://kbalertz.com/Feedback.aspx?kbNumber=940459/ ) When you try to enumerate many content areas by using the area content list Web part in SharePoint Portal Server 2003, multiple refreshes may be required to display all content areas
This hotfix fixes the following issue that is not previously documented in a Microsoft Knowledge Base article:
  • You install the English version or the Japanese version of Windows SharePoint Services 3.0 Service Pack 3 and SharePoint Portal Server 2003 Service Pack 3. When you try to use the HTML editor to edit a page that contains a Content Editor Web part, you receive an error message that resembles the following:
    A JavaScript error is received: Line: 3632 Char: 3 Error: Object expected Code: 0 URL: http://portal/sites/testsite/_layouts/1033/htmledit.aspx
    When you try to use the Edit in Datasheet feature, you receive the following error message:
    The list is displayed in Standard view. It cannot be displayed in Datasheet view for one or more of the following reasons: A datasheet component compatible with Windows SharePoint Services is not installed, your browser does not support ActiveX controls, or support for ActiveX controls is disabled.
