Error message when you start Accounting Professional or Accounting Express: "Could not load file or assembly 'Srttbls.nlp' or one of its dependencies. The system cannot find the file specified"

SYMPTOMS

When you start Microsoft Office Accounting Professional or Microsoft Office Accounting Express, you may receive the following error message:
Microsoft Office Accounting has encountered an error and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience.
Could not load file or assembly 'Srttbls.nlp' or one of its dependencies. The system cannot find the file specified.
This problem occurs after you restore the operating system on the computer.

CAUSE

This problem occurs because a change occurs in the Microsoft .NET Framework when you restore the operating system.

RESOLUTION

To resolve this problem, repair the .NET Framework. To do this, use the appropriate method.

Method 1: Windows XP

  1. Click Start, click Run, type appwiz.cpl in the Open box, and then click OK.
  2. Click Microsoft .NET Framework 2.0, and then click Change/Remove.
  3. In the Microsoft .NET Framework 2.0 Setup dialog box, click Repair, and then click Next.
  4. Click Finish.

Method 2: Windows Vista

  1. Click Start, click All Programs, click Accessories, right-click Command Prompt, and then click Run as administrator.
  2. Click Continue to open a command prompt.
  3. At the command prompt, type the following command to run the System File Checker (Sfc.exe) tool, and then press ENTER:
    sfc /scannow
    Note You receive the following message:
    Beginning system scan. This process will take some time.
When the scan is complete, the System File Checker tool indicates whether integrity violations were found. If integrity violations are found, the System File Checker tool will offer you the opportunity to fix the integrity violations.
