You install security update 934525 (MS07-059) for Microsoft Windows SharePoint Services 3.0 in an environment that contains host-named site collections. When you run the SharePoint Products and Technologies Configuration Wizard on Windows SharePoint Services 3.0 servers to upgrade the SharePoint database, you may experience performance issues.

This problem may occur when you have more than 50 host-named site collections in a SharePoint environment. The more host-named site collections that exist and the more documents that are stored on each site collection, the more time that the database upgrade takes.

Note A host-named site collection is created when you use the stsadm.exe createsite command together with the hostheaderwebapplicationurl parameter. This problem occurs if you have created sites by using this command together with this parameter.
