Error message when you try to upgrade a company file from Small Business Accounting 2006 to Accounting Professional or to Accounting Express: "Cannot turn off a Job preference on a partially invoiced Sales Quote"
When you
try to upgrade a company file from Microsoft Office Small Business Accounting 2006 to
Microsoft Office Accounting Professional or to Microsoft Office Accounting
Express, you receive
the following error message
when the update process starts:
Cannot turn off a Job preference on a partially invoiced Sales
Quote.
This problem may occur because a job that is associated with
a sales quote was disabled
before you tried
to perform the upgrade.
To resolve this problem, enable all jobs in Small Business
Accounting 2006 before you perform the upgrade. To do this, follow these steps:
- Start Microsoft Office Small Business Accounting
2006.
- On the Company menu, click
Preferences.
- In the Company Preferences dialog box,
click to select the Use job check box under
Jobs, and then click OK.
APPLIES TO
- Microsoft Office Accounting Professional 2007
- Microsoft Office Accounting Express 2007

Community Feedback System
Very often, it takes hours to solve a problem. Very often, you've looked high
and low, and have tried a lot of solutions. When you finally found it, chances
are, it was because someone else helped you. Here's your chance to give back.
Use our community feedback tool to let others know what worked for you and what
didn't.
Please also understand that the community feedback system is not warranted to be
correct, it's simply a system that we've built to let people try and help each
other. If something in a feedback response doesn't make sense to you, or you're
not comfortable making changes that the feedback talks about (like registry
edits), please consult a professional.
