Project 2007 stops responding when you click a list that is contained in a field

SYMPTOMS

You create a new project in Microsoft Office Project 2007. When you click a list that is contained in a field, Project 2007 stops responding. For example, when you click the Resource Names field, Project 2007 stops responding. Additionally, you receive the following error message:
* Error Signature information:- * App Name winproj.exe

AppVer: 12.0.4518.1014 AppStamp:45428184 * ModName: winproj.exe ModVer: 12.0.4518.1014 ModStamp:45428184 * fDebug: 0 Offset: 0042d513

CAUSE

This issue occurs when the computer that is running Project 2007 has Credential Manager for HP ProtectTools installed.

RESOLUTION

To resolve this problem, obtain the latest service pack for Microsoft Office Project 2007. For more information, click the following article number to view the article in the Microsoft Knowledge Base:

WORKAROUND

To work around this issue, remove Credential Manager for HP ProtectTools from the computer that has Project 2007 installed.
