Consider the following scenario:
- You configure a Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager 2007 Service Pack 1 (SP1) distribution point on a Windows Server 2008-based computer.
- Background Intelligent Transfer Service (BITS) is enabled on the distribution point.
- You distribute a software package to Microsoft Systems Management Server (SMS) 2003 clients.
In this scenario, the SMS 2003 clients cannot download the software package. Therefore, the software deployment process fails.
Additionally, the following information is logged in the Smsts.log file:
Initializing HTTP transport.
Error. Status code 207
The DAV response doesn't contain any "a:response" item.
Hash could not be matched for the downloaded content.
Boot Image package not found.
The hash value is not correct. (Error: 80091007; Source: Windows)
And, the following information is logged in the DataTransferService.log file:
Error sending DAV request. HTTP code 401, status 'Unauthorized' DataTransferService
GetDirectoryList_HTTP('URL') failed with code 0x80070005. DataTransferService
