Error message when you use the InterAct adapter to connect to the SIPN in BizTalk Server 2006: "A context for this principal has already been created"
Consider the following scenario. In Microsoft BizTalk Server 2006, you use the InterAct adapter to connect to the Society for Worldwide Interbank Financial Telecommunication (SWIFT) Secure IP Network (SIPN) to send a message. The InterAct adapter initializes communication with the SIPN by sending the SW-CreateContextRequest initialization message. Then, the SIPN replies by sending the SW-CreateContextResponse initialization message. In this scenario, you may receive the following error message in the SW-CreateContextResponse initialization message:
A context for this principal has already been created.
This issue occurs if the strict SWIFTNet Link Mode is configured incorrectly. For example, this issue occurs for one of the following reasons:
- A setting on the SWIFTAlliance Gateway (SAG) server is unsecured.
- A certificate is issued for the relax SWIFTNet Link Mode.
Note The sag_test_connect tool does not detect this issue.
To resolve this issue, make sure that the connection between BizTalk Server 2006 and the SIPN is configured correctly to the strict SWIFTNet Link Mode. To do this, follow these steps:
- On the endpoint module, configure the strict SWIFTNet Link Mode. To do this, follow these steps:
- On the SAG server, start Gateway Admin, click Endpoint Module, and then click Endpoint Name.
- On the Destination tab, click Mode Strict.
- Configure the strict SWIFTNet Link (SNL) format. To do this, follow these steps:
- On the SAG server, start Gateway Admin, click Application Interface, and then click Message Partners Name.
- On the Main tab, click Default Message Format for Emission (from Message Partner), and then click Strict SNL Format.
- On the Main tab, click Supported Message Formats, and then click Strict SNL Format.
- Verify that the certificate that is used for SSL is issued for the strict SWIFTNet Link Mode.
Note These settings are not all inclusive. These settings are specific to the strict SWIFTNet Link Mode. The configuration and the verification must be done by the SAG administrator.
The FileAct adapter and the InterAct adapter connect BizTalk Server 2006 to the SIPN to transfer messages. The SIPN transfers messages and files over a secure private network that interconnects financial institutions, financial industry infrastructures, and customers. The InterAct adapter uses the SNL API to connect to the SIPN.
