You run an application on a Windows CE 5.0-based device. This device supports the waveform audio component. The application uses a waveform audio function to add an audio buffer into a wave header. When the application calls the
waveInUnprepareHeader function or calls the
waveOutUnprepareHeader function to clean up the preparations, the function returns WAVERR_STILLPLAYING.
This problem occurs because the function that adds an audio buffer unnecessarily sets a flag in the wave header. This causes a race condition to occur.
