An additional resource group that contains no resources is created after you install a second failover clustered instance of SQL Server 2005 on a Windows Server 2008-based server

A failover clustered instance of Microsoft SQL Server 2005 is running on a Windows Server 2008-based server. You install a second failover clustered instance of SQL Server 2005 on the Windows Server 2008-based server. After the installation is complete, you start Failover Cluster Management. In this scenario, you notice that an additional resource group is created. The additional resource group contains no resources.
To work around this problem, manually delete the additional resource group that contains no resources.
Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed in the "Applies to" section.
