When you publish a page in Microsoft Office SharePoint Server 2007 or in Windows SharePoint Services 3.0, you receive an error message that resembles the following in the Application log in Event Viewer:

This message is an informational message. You do not experience any loss of functionality in SharePoint Server 2007 or in Windows SharePoint Services 3.0. You can safely ignore this message.
This problem occurs if the following conditions are true:
- You use the Publishing Portal template to create a site collection.
- You create a page when major versioning is turned on.
This problem was first fixed in a hotfix that is now contained in 2007 Microsoft Office servers Service Pack 2 (SP2). If you install the latest Microsoft Office Servers service pack, you do not have to install the hotfix.

To work around this issue in Windows SharePoint Services, follow these steps:
- Open the SharePoint Central Administration Web page.
- Click Operations, and then click Diagnostic logging.
- In the Select a category box, click General under Event Throttling.
- In the Least critical event to report to the event log box, click None.
- In the Least critical event to report to the trace log box, click Verbose.
- Click OK.
