Incorrect error message when you try to edit an embedded object in PowerPoint 2007: "The linked file is not available. Use the Edit Links command to find the file"
When you try to edit an embedded object in Microsoft Office
PowerPoint 2007, you may receive the following error message:
The linked file is not available. Use the Edit Links
command to find the file.
However, this error message is incorrect
because the
Edit Links command is not available in PowerPoint
2007.
To edit links in PowerPoint 2007, click the
Microsoft Office ButtonCollapse this imageExpand this image
,
point to
Prepare, and then click
Edit Links to
Files.
