On This Page

SYMPTOMS

In Microsoft Office Accounting Professional, in Microsoft Office Accounting Express, or in Microsoft Office Small Business Accounting 2006, you try to print a document. However, the program closes unexpectedly or stops responding, depending on the operating system that is installed on the computer, as follows:
  • On a Windows Vista-based computer, the program closes unexpectedly.
  • On a Windows XP-based computer, the program stops responding.

CAUSE

This problem occurs for one of the following reasons:
  • On a Windows Vista-based computer, the operating system causes the connection between the program and the printer to fail.
  • On a Windows XP-based computer, the operating system delays the connection between the program and the printer.

RESOLUTION

To resolve this problem, download and then install the update for the operating system that is running on the computer. To obtain the appropriate update, refer to one of the following articles in the Microsoft Knowledge Base.

MORE INFORMATION
