For a Windows Server 2003 or 2008 or 2008 R2 based
DHCP server where Symantec Endpoint Production 11.0 or Symantec Antivirus 10.2
is installed, client computers may be unable to get IP addresses from this DHCP
server.
If we statically assign an IP address to the client machine,
it functions normally on the network..
This issue occurs because of a problem with Symantec
Endpoint Protection 11.0.
To resolve this issue, follow the instructions
that are provided by Symantec to upgrade the software to the latest version of
Symantec Endpoint Protection or Symantec Antivirus. For more information, visit
