The TS Gateway NAP Wizard does not set correctly the device redirection attribute for the TS Gateway on a Windows Server 2008-based computer
The Terminal Server (TS) Gateway Network Access Protection (NAP) Wizard does not set correctly the
TSG-Device-Redirection device redirection attribute for the TS Gateway on a Windows Server 2008-based computer. Therefore, the attribute is interpreted in an unpredictable way by the TS Gateway.
To work around this issue, follow these steps:
- Start the TS Gateway Microsoft Management Console (MMC) snap-in. To do this, click Start
Collapse this imageExpand this image
, type TS Gateway in the Start Search box, and then click TS Gateway Manager. - Reset the attributes of the network policies that are created by the NAP Wizard to the correct values.
You can configure the TS Gateway to use a new vendor-specific attribute that is named
TSG-Device-Redirection to store device redirection attributes for policies in the TS Gateway. This new attribute can be configured only through the TS Gateway user interface (UI).
TS Gateway is a role service in the Terminal Services server role of Windows Server 2008. This role allows for authorized remote users to connect any Internet-connected device to resources on an internal corporate network or on a private network. These network resources can be terminal servers, terminal servers that are running remote application programs, or computers that have Remote Desktop enabled.

Community Feedback System
Very often, it takes hours to solve a problem. Very often, you've looked high
and low, and have tried a lot of solutions. When you finally found it, chances
are, it was because someone else helped you. Here's your chance to give back.
Use our community feedback tool to let others know what worked for you and what
didn't.
Please also understand that the community feedback system is not warranted to be
correct, it's simply a system that we've built to let people try and help each
other. If something in a feedback response doesn't make sense to you, or you're
not comfortable making changes that the feedback talks about (like registry
edits), please consult a professional.
Thank you for using kbAlertz.com Feedback System.
