Consider the following scenario:
- You install a System Center Operations Manager management
pack that includes reports on a Microsoft System Center Operations Manager 2007
Service Pack 1 (SP1) server.
- Or, you install a System Center Essentials management pack
that includes reports on a Microsoft System Center Essentials 2007 SP1
server.
In this scenario, the reports do not appear as expected in the Reporting space
of the Administration console. Additionally, you may receive the following
events in the Operations Manager event log on the Root Management Server:
Event Type: Error
Event Source: Health Service Modules
Event Category: Data Warehouse
Event ID: 31569
Date: m/dd/yyyy
Time: hh:mm:ss PM
User: N/A
Computer: ComputerName
Description:
Report deployment process failed to request management pack list from Data Warehouse. The operation will be retried.
Exception 'SqlException': Timeout expired. The timeout period elapsed prior to completion of the operation or the server is not responding.

Hotfix installation instructions
You must apply this hotfix on each computer that hosts an
Operations Manager Reporting Data Warehouse database. For more information
about how to install this hotfix, see the ReadMeKB954643.rtf file. To obtain
the ReadMeKB954643.rtf file, run the
SystemCenterOperationsManager2007-SP1-KB953643-X86-X64-ENU.msi file, and define
the installation path as requested during installation. By default, the
installation files are extracted to the following location:
Drive:\Program Files\System Center Hotfix
Utility\Q954643
Note Before you apply this hotfix, make sure that you back up the
Reporting Data Warehouse database.
