In BizTalk Server, you may see the following symptoms:
- After you deploy many artifacts to the BizTalkMgmtDb database, re-importing an .msi file may take a very long time.
- When you try to import a BizTalk application in BizTalk Administration, the import operation is unsuccessful. Additionally, you may receive an error message that resembles the following:
Timeout expired. The timeout period elapsed prior to obtaining a connection from the pool. This may have occurred because all pooled connections were in use and max pool size was reached. (Microsoft.BizTalk.ExplorerOM)

Microsoft
has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed
in the "Applies to" section.
After you apply this hotfix and then re-import an .msi file
that contains a map, BizTalk Server checks whether the map is
referenced by a send port. If the map is not referenced by a send
port, no send-port-related data is populated. Therefore, performance improves.
