Error message when you view the properties of any node in the Application Center 2000 console: "0x80041003 Access denied"

SYMPTOMS

When you view the properties of any node in the Microsoft Application Center 2000 console, you receive the following error message:
0x80041003 Access denied
When you use the DebugView application to view the debug output, you see the following entries:
00000230                37.24024582           [652] 3688, PASSPROV, passprovimp.cpp, (299), Connect failed (Namespace: root\MicrosoftApplicationCenter Provider: MicrosoftAC_EventProvider): 0x80041003               
00000231                37.24035263           [652] 3688, PASSPROV, eventpassiveprovider.cpp, (81), FinalConstruct failed: 0x80041003

CAUSE

This issue occurs because problems occur in the Application Center 2000 Windows Management Instrumentation (WMI) namespace.

RESOLUTION

To resolve this issue, rebuild the Application Center 2000 WMI namespace. To do this, uninstall Application Center 2000. Then, reinstall Application Center 2000.
