When you try to install Application Center 2000 as an administrator, the installation operation is unsuccessful
When you try to install Microsoft Application Center 2000 as an administrator, the installation operation is unsuccessful. Additionally, the following error is logged in the Ac_setup.log file:
Error 1722. An error occurred while performing the task. There is a problem with
this Windows Installer package. A program run as part of the setup did not finish
as expected. Contact your support personnel or package vendor. Action
register_accluster.exe, location: C:\Program Files\Microsoft Application
Center\accluster.exe, command: -service
This problem occurs if you do not have the correct registry permission settings to install Application Center 2000.
To resolve this problem, log on as a different administrator, and then try to install Application Center 2000 again. If the installation operation is still unsuccessful, use the RegMon utility to determine the registry permission settings that are causing this problem to occur.

Community Feedback System
Very often, it takes hours to solve a problem. Very often, you've looked high
and low, and have tried a lot of solutions. When you finally found it, chances
are, it was because someone else helped you. Here's your chance to give back.
Use our community feedback tool to let others know what worked for you and what
didn't.
Please also understand that the community feedback system is not warranted to be
correct, it's simply a system that we've built to let people try and help each
other. If something in a feedback response doesn't make sense to you, or you're
not comfortable making changes that the feedback talks about (like registry
edits), please consult a professional.
Thank you for using kbAlertz.com Feedback System.
