The Network Load Balancing service in an Application Center 2000 server cluster is suspended
When you view cluster members on the Microsoft Application Center 2000 console, you notice that the globe icon in the
Status area on the right side of the Application Center console displays an exclamation mark or a triangle. When you rest the mouse pointer on the globe icon, you see a “Load Balancing: Suspended†message instead of the expected “Load Balancing: Online†message.
To resolve this problem, use one or both of the following methods:
- Apply the hotfix from the following article in the Microsoft Knowledge Base:
897654Â
(http://kbalertz.com/Feedback.aspx?kbNumber=897654/
)
FIX: When you configure to drain a cluster node in a specified time, the node remains in drain mode after the specified time has elapsed in Application Center 2000 that is running on Windows Server 2003
- If that hotfix does not resolve the issue, follow these steps:
- Remove the cluster member from the server.
- At a command prompt, run the following command on the removed cluster member:
AC CLUSTER /CLEAN
- Add the cluster member back to the server.

and low, and have tried a lot of solutions. When you finally found it, chances
are, it was because someone else helped you. Here's your chance to give back.
Use our community feedback tool to let others know what worked for you and what
didn't.
Please also understand that the community feedback system is not warranted to be
correct, it's simply a system that we've built to let people try and help each
other. If something in a feedback response doesn't make sense to you, or you're

edits), please consult a professional.
