You may experience unexpected behavior on a Windows Server 2008-based computer that has more than 32 paths to an MPIO disk
Consider the following scenario:
- You have a computer that is running Windows Server 2008.
- The computer uses multipath I/O (MPIO) disks.
- The system recognizes and uses more than 32 paths to a disk.
In this scenario, you may experience unexpected behavior. For example, you may receive the following Stop error message:
Stop 0x0000007e (parameter1, parameter2, parameter3, parameter4)
SYSTEM_THREAD_EXCEPTION_NOT_HANDLED
This problem occurs because MPIO does not support more than 32 paths to a disk.
To work around this problem, make sure that there are no more than 32 paths from the Windows Server 2008-based computer to each disk.

Community Feedback System
Very often, it takes hours to solve a problem. Very often, you've looked high
and low, and have tried a lot of solutions. When you finally found it, chances
are, it was because someone else helped you. Here's your chance to give back.
Use our community feedback tool to let others know what worked for you and what
didn't.
Please also understand that the community feedback system is not warranted to be
correct, it's simply a system that we've built to let people try and help each
other. If something in a feedback response doesn't make sense to you, or you're
not comfortable making changes that the feedback talks about (like registry
edits), please consult a professional.
Thank you for using kbAlertz.com Feedback System.
