SYMPTOMS

Consider the following scenario in Microsoft BizTalk Server 2006.
  • You create a BizTalk orchestration that uses custom code to aggregate correlated messages into a single message.
  • There are trailing whitespaces in a promoted property of the input message.
  • You turn off tracking for the orchestration.
In this scenario, after the messages are received and processed by BizTalk Server, the trailing whitespaces may be removed in the output message.
Note This problem does not occur if you turn on tracking for the orchestration. For example, if you turn on tracking for the "Orchestration start and end" and "Message send and receive" events, this problem does not occur.

CAUSE

This problem occurs because of an error in the BizTalk Server messaging engine.
