The following policy is enabled on a Windows Server 2008-based computer or on a Windows Vista SP1-based computer: When you open the Failover Cluster Management window on this computer to perform the "Validate a Configuration" task, the validation process fails. Additionally, you receive the following error message:

This problem occurs because Windows Server 2008 and Windows Vista Failover Cluster Validation uses a non-FIPS compliant algorithm. Therefore, the validation fails after the "System cryptography: Use FIPS compliant algorithms for encryption, hashing and signing" policy is enabled.
