A cumulative update for daylight saving time (DST) changes in several countries is now available for computers that are running Microsoft Exchange 2000 Server.

Update information

The update that is described in this article changes the time zone data to account for changes in the time zones that are listed in this article. This cumulative update also addresses daylight saving time (DST) changes in several countries which were updated in previous cumulative releases. This update adds updated DST information to the Collaboration Data Objects (CDO) time zone tables.

Time zone data that was updated

• Pacific SA Standard Time
  Adds a new time zone for the Santiago time zone that introduces DST start dates and end dates for changes after the prior cumulative time zone update was created in August 2008.
• E. South America Standard Time
  Adds a new time zone for the Brasilia time zone that introduces DST start dates and end dates for changes after the prior cumulative time zone update was created in August 2008.
• Egypt Standard Time
  Adds a new time zone for the Cairo time zone and for the Manaus time zone that introduces DST start dates and end dates.
• Iran Standard Time
  Adds a new time zone for the Teheran time zone and for the Manaus time zone that introduces DST start dates and end dates.
• Israel Standard Time
  Adds a new time zone for the Jerusalem time zone and for the Manaus time zone that introduces DST start dates and end dates.

A supported hotfix is available from Microsoft. However, this hotfix is intended to correct only the problem that is described in this article. Apply this hotfix only to systems that are experiencing this specific problem.

Restart requirement

You do not have to restart the computer after you apply this hotfix package. However, after you install this hotfix, the Exchange Information Store service and all dependent services are restarted.

The English version of this hotfix has the file attributes (or later file attributes) that are listed in the following table. The dates and times for these files are listed in Coordinated Universal Time (UTC). When you view the file information, it is converted to local time.
