Event ID: 5001 is logged when booting Windows Server 2008 Enterprise Edition x86 in a Hyper-V VM with Legacy NIC enabled.

You have installed Windows Server 2008 Enterprise Edition x86 inside of a Hyper-VÂ VM (Virtual Machine)Â and have enabled the Legacy Network Adapter for the VM. After starting the VM and checking the Windows System Event Log from within the Event Viewer on the guest VM there are multiple log entries with ID 5001.
Please note that this
only applies to 32-bit Windows Server 2008 Enterprise Edition and not the 64-bit release.

NDIS logs errors for the failure in the Windows System Event Log on behalf of this driver. The errors are not significant as the driver is fully functional despite the log entries.
The log entries are benign and can be ignored.
