SYMPTOMS

Consider the following scenario:
  • In Microsoft BizTalk Server, you use an FTP receive location to retrieve a file from an FTP server.
  • An FTP raw command is configured in the Before Get field for the FTP receive location.
In this scenario, the FTP receive location does not receive the file. Instead, the FTP receive location crashes after it runs the Before Get command. Additionally, an event that resembles the following is logged in the Application log:

Event Type: Warning
Event Source: BizTalk Server 2006
Event Category: BizTalk Server 2006
Event ID: 5740
Description:
The adapter "FTP" raised an error message. Details "The command <Command> failed on the FTP server. "
