Symptom



When you download and attempt to install the Microsoft Remote Server Administration Tools for Windows Vista (KB941314), you receive the message:

 

The update does not apply to your system

Cause



Update KB941314 is already installed on the system.

Resolution



You may have attempted to install KB941314 a second time if the Microsoft Remote Server Administration Tools do not appear in the Administrative Tools menu.  In order to gain access to these tools, follow these steps:

 

1.     Click Start, and then click Control Panel.

2.     Double-click Programs and Features.

3.     In the left pane, click Turn Windows features on or off.

4.     Select the Remove Server Administration Tools check box.

5.     Click OK.

 

The Remote Server Administration Tools will be installed and added to the Administrative Tools menu.
